I saw the "Rumsfeld getting some tough questions" story all over the place, but I didn't read the transcript until just now. Worth a look.Come on, these people aren’t idiots. They know the story.
Salon has the video. Hard to watch it without steam coming out of my collar. Rumsfeld is calmly sarcastic, but flustered when Ray McGovern presses him about his statements that he knew where the WMDs were. What makes me hurl is listening to Rumsfeld's lying putdowns get the applause (still) while McGovern is treated like a crank.
This was getting coverage in TV news. Olbermann did a fine job last night. He doesn't buy into the he-said-he-said paradigm, and fact checked the senile old coot.
i missed this post some how. at least he (off camera) didnt let them haul mcgovern off.
We're not a police state ... just yet.
but i thought we dont do intelligence at the dod...?
