Rented this last night. R said it reminded her of orchid thief movie with nick cage. So we watched that too.

• watching now. had to stop when i got annoyed that he is trying to sour the deal because of "integrity" after being offered life changing money at a time of need. i mean, get over yourself. im drinking johnnie walker red over here, bitch.

So the script lacks integrity, I get it. That red hairdo and Meryl Streep stalking him through the swamp with a shotgun make it for me.

• i was talking about american fiction not adaptation. the filmmakers would appreciate our confusing the two. i understand wrights characters frustration and its utility as comedic heightening for the name change to fuck but i guess id get quicker to selling out in pseudonymic form considering how cynical and embittered he already was. was just a moment i had to take a breath and let it pass.
