havent had any heat for the last few days. went out to get some dumplings and wonton soup and ran into the landlords friend standing by the oil truck. i asked if that was for us, and he said yes but that we wouldnt have heat today. apparently they were removing oil rather than refilling. somehow we had gotten the wrong oil. i didnt press him on the details. im sure theres a chanukah joke in there somewhere. who knew there were different types of heating oil?
ball boys my favorite baseball site (baseball think factory) gets some love from the ny times.
managed to blow out half the power in my apartment today while fiddling with the computer wires. i suppose i should consider it a blessing as i have only one fuse for the entire apartment so having any power is a minor miracle. so what exactly did i do then? four outlets no longer work. when i call an electrician tomorrow assuming my landlord is still atoning for his sins and doesnt show up at his office, what should i tell them ive done, other than forsake god?

no sleep for the dreary ive really got to stop sleeping. my dreams are killing me. first, this morning i accused someone of stealing from me only to realize i had misplaced the item in question but not before acting aggressively in pursuit of that item. and then after patching that all up and heading out for a post-party early morning softball game, i accidentally struck a little girl in the head with the inside of my wrist while on line for coffee. and i had been trying to help her but that quickly turned to frustration which precipitated the accident. and i woke up with her parents who had left her overburdened with the task taking down depositions from myself and bystanders. then i just remembered another dream this afternoon of an endless battle against a roach infestation in my apartment. im glad ive purged yesterdays because they were no better. better bust out my don ho records tonight. maybe ill wake up on a tropical island. more likely ill be attacked by sharks.
