just moments ago heard about this show but seems like its worth a look, although it is subtitled and i am a lazy american. but, hey, the french know their supernatural thrillers, right? its true, i have no idea. but i love that genre!! oh wait, not really. hmmm.

Just re-watching the original UK The Office. Holy shit. The American version was so toned down. The level of mean-spirited humor and abject awkwardness is a lot more intense.

kind of cool that the studio that produced a sarah silverman pilot let her put it up on youtube. i can see why nbc would be hesitant to run with this but it had its moments of inspiration. maybe casting all her friends on her shows has its limits like her acting range. but by the end i would still have liked to see a little more. as it is she recently signed on to do a comedy on hbo with topher grace which isnt her project so will be interesting to see how well she performs outside her own insular vision.

damn, another version of the bridge. the american one was adapted from a danish show. this is an english adaptation set on the "border" between britain and france. have no idea if its any good. just ran across it by happenstance. first episode aired tonight i think.

tonight at 8 on pbs:

SUPERHEROES: A NEVER-ENDING BATTLE is the first documentary to examine the dawn of the comic book genre and its powerful legacy, as well as the evolution of the characters who leapt from the pages over the last 75 years and their ongoing worldwide cultural impact.
