Fucking nature!

It's irritating. Especially squirrels.

We use an HD test sequence that's an extreme closeup of a giant sunflower with a bee walking across it. To a casual observer, it looks like "hard" video due to all the detail, but it's actually fairly easy to compress.

This sequence of photos is an entirely different matter. "Cap'n, therrre's no corrrrelation. The engines canno' take it."

The first year that I had my garden I planted a bunch of giant sunflowers. They did way too well, a few were as high as 11ft. It looked like a Chernobyl flower bed, or a sci-fi movie, really scary, plus I am terrified of bees (because they are bigger than bread boxes and they all have my name tattooed on their big bee foreheads) Fortunately the brave squirrels came one morning and knocked over all the sunflowers. (I was so relieved)

Those bees are little hedonists! They get completely mired in the pollen - it's gross. We have two brands of sunflower growing. the one in this picture is reasonably sized and flowering. The others are like L.M.s: tooooo tall, with leaves broader than my butt. Squirrels keep trying to eat the bulbs which gives me a good excuse to practice my running and loud hissing skills. Will graduate to BB gun skills if the "brave" little dastards eat one more flower. Also, they are rude, and hurl invective at us from fence posts when all we are doing is sitting around in our own yard.
