I know what you mean. I'm finding the two speed triptychs and diptychs really interesting to work with because it exposes that we need to see patterns and resolutions. The animations do synchronize at different points and I find myself anticipating the sync points with a bit of anxiety. (this one also seems slightly violent with the fast pace and all the reds)

I'm not sure what you mean. I could upload larger GIFs but they would take up too much bandwidth and storage size.



I start with very small GIFs and change the width & height in HTML, so I could scale them to a ridiculous size. The pixels just stretch. The issue would be playback, screen refresh rates etc., so I'd have to slow down the speed of the animation or reduce the number of colours for better performance. Also have to think about the end user's screen size, I don't like horizontal scrolling, but I don't mind the odd one that has to be scrolled vertically
