owie. I did find them relaxing but now I don't.
There's a May special edition of Scientific American that seems to be entirely written by Vilayanur S. Ramachandran and Diane Rogers-Ramachandran. It's full of optical illusions, and features this one, which is way creepier on paper than it is on screen.
