L.M., sorry if I missed a post where you talked about your class. Anything a blogger should know beyond what I see on the page? Naturally I think you are succeeding where the Net Aesthetics 2.0 panel and subsequent Rhizome discussions failed.

I don't have your email Tom, I was going to contact you. You might notice from your stats that you've been a resource because very few people are writing well about this stuff.

Or writing period. I found it through the stats. My plan is to plug it to my elite readership of three. Hope that's OK.

Do you mean that you found the lesson pages I've been writing for them? It gets a bit incoherent at times, but then so is the medium. I have to jot notes before each class or I might go off on some tangent about the Vatican or floral arrangements that are shaped like puppies. (I never really planned to write too much about the class on this regular blog, but its occurred to me that it wouldn't hurt a few instutional curators to learn about what is actually going on in web based art practises, so I might try to write some posts in the future because I do have a great collection of links at this point)

Candy, I made that passport a few years ago to show people what the Governor General's passport looks like. (or how I'd redesign it when, and not just IF, I'm appointed to that position) It makes for a good blog logo too.

I've always found sports footage insanely aesthetic, years ago in the analogue days I used to print cibachrome photos from slides I took off the TV set. I thought it was a great visual vehicle to examine the mechanics of broadcast image structures. The animated sports gifs can do something different, because we are now operating under different media conditions. Not sure what yet, I'll figure it out as I go along.
