there seems to be a school emerging of messy/epic paintings, at least formally--you can see it in karen kliminic, tuymans, doig, even peyton--i see it here too

i wasn't sure i liked it, but then i dont really like messy painting (it took me years to like joan mitchell, and i still don't like pollock) i will go back.
