Ah. The Chinese Lantern Festival. I saw it last year and have tons of interesting photos I don't know what to do with. A little bit of it went a long way, but I too like these bears.

I was wondering if they used the same displays over again. This year is the only time I've been. I was expecting more dragons based on what I'd heard from previous years. I dug the show a lot. We went on the last weekend so the lanterns had a cozy "lived in" feeling (note the insect and plant life). They still pulled off a glamourous vibe, however. It's hard to find anything as charming as internally lit animals nodding their animatronic heads or emitting weird fuzzy, tape-stretched-sounding audio blurts and squawks. (I agree with you Thom, the polar bears were the best.)

i was thinking about polar bears today, because of the photographs of taxidermied polar bears, at the ago, this was a nice addition .

different display every year from what i have heard. These bears weren't there last year and driving by on the lakeshore, what was visible was very different. There were significant amounts of dragons and warriors last year. Man I love that last shot of the plant life silhouettes inside that piece. I'm just amazed by all that silk they use.
