For years I thought she was "biding" the Stairway to Heaven. I'll admit it never fully made sense (but to be fair neither did "Bustle in your hedgerow"). I figured that given the gravitas of the song that (whatever they meant by biding aside) she was dead and going to heaven. No - turns out she's a capitalist who's BUYING the stairway. In fact you shouldn't feel sorry for her at all! In fact, you should NOT TRUST the lady, and um maybe you should love the devil? Or not - up to you really.
