I was there too! Richard Hill's talk was really good. He managed to animate the aesthetics of an installation by Durham that is really difficult to convey through documentation.
And hey - that floating bearded Marx-head is priceless and spooky. Reminds me of Zardoz.
I will watch Zardoz and report back as soon as possible.

Zardoz is one of the greatest films ever made.
I really don't understand why it isn't regarded as a classic of 20th century cinema.
I was at the conference too and I heard no mention of Zardoz, or any other word with two zeds.
omg, I can't believe those red trews. So many bad decisions. To design them, to make them, to wear them, to film them.
TIL: Trews are men's clothing for the legs and lower abdomen, a traditional form of tartan trousers from Scottish apparel....

If you play both conferences backwards at the same time Zardoz will appear. The frequency of zeds will diminish but it will not affect the zees.
