on 2/22 jones had ian hunter of mott the hoople on as an interview guest. he told the story of how Ariel Bender got his name. something to do with him getting drunk and on the way home bending the aeriels on all these parked cars...

Ariel is the powerful sprite/spirit/whatever in the Tempest so my guess is it's a pun on car aerial. Also that page keeps saying Spooky Toothy but it's Spooky Tooth. --signed, the spelling noodge

ELP was Glam too. Emerson had a detachable keyboard on his Moog which he would cavort with, rubbing it up and down between his ass cheeks while prancing around in his hobnail boots (which reminds me, Spooky Tooth did a cool cover of I Am the Walrus, back before covers were cool.)
