Now I know it's an owl I can see its head and what it's doing. Before I thought headless bird? Taxidermied animal being cleaned? I still like it but my limited perception+sick imagination made it more surreal.

Darker, for sure. When I saw it as an undifferentiated mass of feathers with oversized, clearly articulated claws it was like some horrible omen invading the bland suburban setting. But I also like horror movies. An owl drinking from the faucet is funny.
