i guess we're still defining "whats a rat rod." blue-bear got kicked off american hot rod by boyd coddington for boxing his frame rails cause he was building too dangerous a (rat rod) car. this one has a boxed after-market frame. its also painted in primer and not original barn paint. i think we'll see ever blurring distinctions between period look hot rods and real rat rods. hot rods use after market (expensive) speed equipment. rat rods use old spare parts. on the other hand any hunk of junk is a potential rat rod here on ebay. and anything with red painted wheels and engine block is a mid-restoration rat rod. a hot rod in primer is not a rat rod.
