go for baroque peter schickele mix
sunday am
6 AM? ouch. how long is it on? the site doesn't say.
Oh, i was confusing that for Schickele's program. When does his show come on? Can it be streamed?
i dont see schickele mix on the wnyc schedule anymore. ill see if i can find a live stream someplace. i wish everyone archived. on that subject, the big sopranos return supposedly took lower than expected because of "on demand" service some cable companies offer. curbed stated that the town was dead during that hour and that cabs could be easily found. sunday baroque is from 6 -8 am sundays.
I wish Schickele had sound bites available on his site. He has lots of recordings of his own music available as CDs, but I don't have any idea where to begin. I'm interested in anything that sounds like his Silent Running soundtrack work.
hows this for service? the shows format is more of a thematic tutorial. see show titles for clues. you can also listen to snippets of every cut on all of his albums on amazon.
Thanks!
heres the amazon listings
Not surprisingly, I guess, amazon has almost none of his music written as Peter Schickele. It's almost all PDQ Bach. His site lists dozens of CDs of his own music.
