i moved the furniture around and reedited the layout. i dropped two images that were clearly from a different series and added a duplicate (the weird grope image shown above.) the new count of 84 images makes a tighter viewing rectangle of 7 rows that are 12 images across - roughly 60" wide by 49" tall. i ordered qty 100 5" x 7" top loading ultra-PRO rigid acrylic collector sleeves from 2guys. ill use 3-m double stick foam tape on the backs of the sleeves to mount them as a wall installation (or on foam core board for storage). my practice is to put the tape behind the image so it doesnt show from the front. there will be a clear reveal at the top of the sleeve because 5"x7" is the closest available off the shelf fit for the roughly 5" wide by 5 1/2" tall dark room prints.

the ebay seller referred to the subjects as "hippies" which generally evokes the 60's decade. in searching for clues on the exact vintage of the images i suss t-shirt info and the backgrounds for clues. besides the clothing and haircuts (only a couple of shags) i see a godfather movie poster (ca 1972.) as far as location, the seller shipped from allentown pa. nuff said based on appearances. now to define hippie, allentown hippie, pa hippie. kind of a more rough and tumble breed of hippie than many of us who were in circulation at the time would be familiar with. funny thing is this freakish physical trope is probably still more commonly found in pa than most places these days in loan wolf biker types and the like that ive seen on sporatic travels to the area.

a friend from wilkes-barre pa tells the story of going to see the ramones at a beer barn near allentown in the late 80's. joey exercised crowd control from the stage with a baseball bat inhand though out the whole show. hippies.
