MANUFACTURED LANDSCAPES
I first started using Image Works in the early '90's (Burtynsky owns it) and at the time I really had a hate-on for framed photographs hanging on walls, until I saw one of his rockscapes hanging in the lobby. It was one of those wonderful moments when you have no context or knowledge of an artist and you see something unexpected and thrilling (it's one of the reasons I don't like art mags, it's so fucking great to be surprised by the real thing)
