Ha, I just watched it, you know I'm a sucker for that deep urban potential but also I bet that guy's filming on a Sunday morning. Never trust the picture of a ghetto painted on a Sunday morning. That being said, I would love to tour the area in Philly and other areas like it sometime. Let's make a date.

I've been researching the area a bit. Despite being near Temple U. it sounds like a pretty rough wasteland--North Philly/Fishtown area. I would still like to drive around sometime. See what's what. I suppose in general though, if I were entertaining the idea about a project in an area where I felt like I was defending myself and property all the time, I might want something a little more emotionally interesting than a warehouse. This seems to me like one of those many areas in America that has been given up on for so long that for me it's going to have to have something really cool going on with it or near it to make it worthwhile. This last year I looked at ghetto areas far less threatening than Philly (in Harrisburg, Reading, etc.) and they sort of made me tired. I researched Philly a little bit awhile back and there are quite a few cheap properties to sort through. I repeat though, I am definitely willing to look around.
