I remember his work from the mags but never saw it in person. It was assemblage/found object, right? I know from his writing he's a Broodthaers fan so I assume there is an element of institutional critique. I also assume that's why he is still following the semi-post-post-modernism dialog (and thinks I should too) even though it seems to fill him with despair.

i recall seeing a re-fabricated, full scale "Graceland" front gate in one of his shows.

i do like how davis breaks down pomo's current status. a great stagnant postmodernism is almost a guarantee of mediocre art production.
