Oh Bill.

I was in Russ & Daughters the other day buying some bagels and I swear to god a woman came in and asked the guy behind the counter "How's your herring?" He immediately replies "My herrings pretty good, how's yours?" Felt like he'd been waiting a long time to make that joke.

i did mean to get around to posting links to some of her amazing work. here and here and here for starters.

tina caught the crystal bug from andy. but she really took it some place special, researching healing potential of crystals, finding resources for getting great crystal formations and locating the master japanese artisan Shouchikudou Kosuge who made the woven bamboo basket holders. they carried these in a 1st floor boutique when i worked at bergdorfs and i checked them out when ever i was passing by. i was impressed with the classic japanese (actual and inspired by) simplicity and beauty. that impression has not diminished in time.
