historic woods (reclaimed)
VB worked on a reno where they used wood from a tree from the bottom of a lake. I never such a pretty floor ...kind of milky/silvery (but very soft ... a drawback).
sinkers. i didnt know they were soft. too bad.
This was a kitchen ... too soft for a kitchen ... but it'd be great in another room.
I have little to zero interest in renovations. But I really liked one other thing this same contractor did, in his own house, which was to make a bathroom wall out of sanded, recycled lathe. Labour-intensive (VB was on that project too) but it looked fantastic in the end.
Yet I insist on boring the hell out of her with my renos.
they tried to tell me 'bout their reno, i said no, no, no.
L.M. usually feeds me during reno talk, so I'm okay with it.
