seems like a problem and a pressing one at that that i couldnt access the original post from the new comments page even after i posted my comment but found it luckily via search. here i can see the "top of the thread" link but i dont think it was on the new comment thread. probably should just ditch the information architecture and start again. 

sorry for destroying the purity of this thread, bill. the late boomer nostalgia generator has been besmirched by 21st century gobbledygook. maybe that will be enough to get it back on track.
