Re: Hadid. Those online polls are easy to skew. Once notice of the poll makes the rounds of some paleoconservative chatboard it'll be Backlash City for her. That was the point of the poll, I think.

PS: Flat comments, Bill (as opposed to threaded or nested in [editpage]). They're the ticket. They urge people to be polite and address what came before, rather than forming cliques within nests. I just pulled this one out the queue and moved it to the end.

I know, I was just hoping it could be avoided. Tuesday only two people had voted. Today when archnewsnow posted it it got over 100 hits. I am surprised by archnewsnow's seemingly conservative readership then... Of course if I felt strongly enough I would be emailing everyone telling them to vote, so I am being a bit of a hypocrite here. Or rather, trying not to skew the polls.

thanks for reminding me Tom. back when I had that huge glut of art criticism posts over on my page I thought threaded comments would help organise but instead they created chaos and bad vibes. I forgot to change it back and am doing so right now.

Threaded comments are theoretically better; we just don't have the self-discipline and multiple attention spans to make proper use...
