that is an owie story. The saddest thing is that the women in the scenario did not have nearly the same degree of personal fulfillment through work as Lou Kahn, but made him (and his absence) the central focus of their lives. mistake. Like your architect friend, I also took the film as encouragement to put life work on a higher rung of the priority ladder than relationships. But I don't have a child to be absent from.
