Off topic, but music-related:
I had dinner with two friends last night, he is a composer and she is a singer. I made the mistake(?) of asking if they had a favorite anthem (not having been watching too much of the Olympics, this was my attempt at contributing to the 'Olympic fever' conversation...). They quickly broke into a verse of the Norwegian anthem (I was raised with no singing allowed at the table!), and "god save the queen" they said was a favorite - I also was privy to their rendition. I lean toward the Italian anthem my self.
Here are all 192.

' ... National Anthem: hymn or song expressing patriotic sentiment and either governmentally authorized as an official national hymn or holding that position in popular feeling. During the course of the 19th and 20th centuries, with the rise of the national state, most countries adopted a national anthem, which in some cases coexists with other commonly sung patriotic songs. The sentiments of national anthems vary, from prayers for the monarch to allusions to nationally important battles or uprisings.' - Encyclopedia Britannica
