i guess ill have to kiss this one goodbye. a couple of real collectors are starting to bid it up. ill expect to see some rabid bidding towards the end of the auction tomorrow. i even called the local nj seller to get more details. he was not forthcoming and basically said "what you see is what you get." i was already thinking of someplace off street to put it while i would be fixing it up. the description says turns over. thats altogether different from "engine runs." i think it just means its not frozen up. still its as big as a buick and twice as ugly. it has everything i could hope for in a rat rod and shouldnt be over restored (no retouching primer/paint - just some lead to fill quarter panel rust holes and a replacement for the missing bomb-site hood ornament), just brought up enough to pass inspection and not overheat during short weekend cruises. its got 2 doors and a straight 8 and looks so cool already i dont think it needs any chopping or dropping what so ever. i really shouldnt get attached to my fantasies too seriously, but i let this one get out of hand. please someone talk me out of this!
