THE CHURCH...THE CEMETERY....THE PEOPLE THE SIGN..ALL HAS A HAUNTING QUALITY THAT MADE THERE PAINTINGS SO FIERCELY FOUGHT OVER WHEN THEY WERE PUT ON EBAY.some wemt over $500.I OBTAINED THIS FROM A COLLECTOR WHO OBTAINED IT EBAY AUCTION......GREAT DETAILS..THE BACKGROUND COLOR SEEMS TO VARY IN PHOTOS,,,THE TRUE COLOR IS A LIGHT EGGSHELL YELLOW THAT IS PAINTED TO SHOW DEPTH. Some time ago, I noticed a few paintings by fergus henderson and shared my interest in these will Bill. We both thought right away that his work was special. As Bill mentioned, i think this is some of the most intersting outsider work to come down the bay in a while - by either known or unknown outsiders. I missed a couple of earlier works of his sold on ebay but didn't miss this one. I'll post again once I see the painting in person.
