That's a 1440 (wide) x 900 screen, so your text is longer than your dotted lines. But those are exaggerated dimensions, more suitable for a wide screen movie than a page of text. And I never design for the laptop. I design for 800 x 600. When I did the blogging and the arts panel, someone had a 800 x 600 laptop and that's what they projected while I was talking. My page had no problems.
