i can hear the fire alarm in the background. i remember that sound from the frequent fire-drills we participated in after 93'. it was excruciating. we would put our fingers in our ears and wait for our floor warden to get escape instructions from a squak box. the premise was you would go one or two floors up or down and wait. so in a real emergency on top of the horror at hand you have that piercing drone to contend with. hellish.
