This of course is 1%er and 1% wanna-be BS. Modernist design (in this case furniture) was supposed to answer the needs of the people. most people can't afford knoll And HM anymore. The shaming tenor is especially egregious. This shit should be off patent by now so market competition would push options in quality and price on classic modern design. Notice you can't get a new fiberglass eames chair? They seem to be injection molded plastic. I pick up flea market originals and flea market copies and pay appropriately or skip it.
