Went to Jewel Bako last night and this place is expensive, wine list $50 to $1000+, $12 to $15 app's that you eat in two bites, I ate some wierd stuff, but the fish sushi (which i dont usually love) was amazing, best I have ever had (one Japanese Bass was like eating silk, cant stop thinking about it), the owner said that this is the best season to eat here, and toro tartare w/ avacado cream is an awesome dessert...

had a nice sushi moment myself today, lunch at blue ribbon sushi, one special was "whole horse mackerel sashimi," which of course i hadda get...presentation was luscious pieces of sashimi served on top of what i can only describe as a raw fish skeleton, eg the bones and head with a bunch of meat still left on (as if they'd perfectly sliced the center section out of the fish). thought this was just great decoration, ate the sashimi -- at which point the waiter comes, takes the meaty skeleton, and says, "now i'm going to go fry this for you" -- !! -- returns 7 minutes later with a crispy fried fish snack, plus ponzu sauce for dipping, the whole thing tender and crunchy at the same time...let me tell you, fried horse mackerel head is delish!
