Next you'll tell me that Mrs. Butterworth isn't real.

I met Mrs. Butterworth when she entered my brother-in-law's booth at a flea market last summer. She could sence that we were a bit star struck and put us at ease with light humor and conversation. A lovely woman, at once gregarious and demure. Her friend Jonathan was a different story; a brooding fellow attracted to the military items, specifically a WWII German bayonet. At one point he interrupted The Mrs. with a rant on the virtues of violence and proceded to demonstrate how he could disable an attacker with two strokes of his walking stick.

You all have it all wrong. You have to use Julia "Bon Appetite" Child if you use any old timey photos. She was THE one who taught us older folks what food should/could taste like. We then thought about good food as we spooned out your spaghetti O's. Mothers are not perfect! She did some good consciousness raising. We did know the difference between what we fed to you and what we could do with 6 hours of available prep/cook time. Do we need to mention her TV celebrity which turned chefs into marketable commodities? Much easier today for mothers and chefs. Everyone is a celebrity as long as Wheel likes the meal. Betty pales in comparrison!

Julia rocks!!! I have told everyone that on a wine trip to Sicily while she was in her later 80's that she eat/drank/laughed more than anyone and apon returning to the hotel she went right to the bar for martini's and danced the night away.....

You had better provide the right vintage for Gracie and me to rock in to the night...... If we get old enough, mint sauce will do.
