i am not anti animal eating just pro veggie and when things are normal (if i guess is better) than i will eat some more critters....from Tikkun---...a major shift to veggie eating habits would enable humans to live more lightly on the land...less enviromental damage...better human health...a more rational veggie system of land use would allow for the possibility for feeding more people adequately on a global scale and this would contribute to a more just stable world order. Given that we are increasing population at 250,000 a day this veggie option gains more urgency and appeal.

"...less enviromental damage...better human health"
"...increasing population at 250,000 a day"
I found these two things to be somewhat comical. Less enviromental damage. Correct me if I'm wrong, but fruits and veggies come from trees, vines, and the ground. Fruits and veggies are most abundantly grown on farms. To harvest these fruits and veggies in the massive numbers needed for "...feeding more people adequately on a global scale", I would say that with all the farming equipment that would be used, you would have to use a lot of gasoline and such, putting more harmful fumes in to the air. This is why I find quote one funny. The reason I find quote two funny is this. You may have done your research on this, and there may be 250,000 people more born everyday, but have you researched how much die? well, I feel I've made my point.
P.S- How would veggies create a stable world order? Really, consider this. Say we catch Osama Bin Ladin and Bush decides to talk to him, face to face. It's in a interragation room. Do you honestly think that if Bin Ladin gave bush a vegetable, he would just be set free? No, he would be mocked. Furthermore, consider this. What's so horrible about humans eating animals? Animals eat each other all the time.

Your math doesn't work. Farm animals eat farmed food.
And you won't find many vegitarians on these pages.

who knows whats the correct plan forward here in the wild and wacky world of Century 21........we still need a new (radical shift) world view on how to feed this country and the world, and we all need more veggies:>).......it does piss me off still big time to think we mine the ocean floor to feed livestock, thats some mad meat disease for sure....CCC (correct critter consumption) sounds GREAT.....
