last nights meal at Meigas was the best yet, not all dishes in the seafood tasting menu were wonderful but some rocked, expensive yes but if could just stop going to Veritas after dinner's in NYC i might be able to afford my rent...

Agreed. One of my favorites. Underrated, I think, even though it is ranked pretty well. How full was it when you went? Were you there at a prime time? I liked that it use to be fairly empty (although I don't want it to be so empty that they go out of business.)

I don't know about others, but I'd appreciate any names of interesting wines so that I can reference your posts if I ever go without you and still look like I know something. (I know you sometimes mention them - thanks.)

  • i was trying to impress (just kidding) so i drank the two 1990 Ribera Duero's ($80 a pop) and the 1996 Abbadia Retuarta (sp?) Polamar $125 which we drank in amsterdam--remember it/where??
