off to Italy today will probably not report till back but we will visit the recently 2*'d Arnolfo in Colle di Val d'Elsa (Tuscany), the venerable 2 *'d Da Vittorio in beautiful Bergamo, along with the awesome one * Trattoria Della Posta in Montforte, and lots of non stared local yummy's--SUPER CHOW
2* Arnolfo was not so good 1* food at best and wierd service, great wines saved the day, Posta is a must for anyone passing thru Piedmonte, best to go during white truffle season and have the egg and pasta dish's covered with them, the eggs are so fresh and orange that you will think from another planet, wine list as many in Piedmont is being sucked up by the wine industry gang's and those in the know, oh well so go soon for the best of the old vino's--Guido's food is also as good in nearby Costigliole D'Asti and the wine list way better as he never stoped buying mass quantities, for example he bought 80 cases of one great recent Barolo!!!! we can drink and eat well there for the rest of our life(lets hope)!!!
