Let's see...everyone disagrees but here is my simple run down

Burrito - El Farolito - at the 24th bart stop - look for the line and the yellow sign

Dim Sum - Yank Sing is sometimes good but sometimes not so good and always expensive - i say go for tom kiang 22nd and Geary.

And if you do a real expensive meal i say go for Coi in north beach

Enjoy!

I don't eat enough in SF to be a reliable guide. I recently enjoyed Maya, which is an upscale Mexican place. It's been ages since I've had dim sum. I had a Chinese girl friend, who, if memory serves, was a big fan of Fook Yuen in Milbrae. Zagat people seem to like Ton Kiang. My current fav place to eat in SF is Slanted Door in the Ferry Building.
