1 cup a day, yo! BTW a word of warning about using the french press technique. someone at a diner last weekend warned that its the new emergency room fad. press too hard it n it breaks, you get a bad burn and or cut. so go on but be careful out there!

Yeah, especially if you grind too fine. Then the grounds clog the press and you have to really lean in to get it to go down, and then bam. But if you back off on the grind a bit it works great.

well, I am not sure it is much of a punchline, but Jim speaks from experience and we have been drinking coffee out of a cracked and jagged french press for weeks. I keep looking for shards before sipping.

Well yeah, but it didn't break that way. I dropped it in the sink while washing it.

I tried to buy a new one, but there are so many sizes and variations (double walled?) that I can't figure out which one will fit.
