And/Or steam some mussels (and discard if you don't want mussels in the dish) and use the juice from that. The mussel juice is super flavorful compared to clam.

Ok, love the mussel, but seems to me that you go there you might as well throw in the scallop, not to mention the horseshoe crab....got to have some shell limit...I'd rather do (and have done) all mussel pasta...damn good.
