went on a long rant elsewhere about not liking a big bag of lavazza i bought on the cheap. then kept referring back to it trying to goad anyone into buying me better coffee. there were no takers. there were no likers. people must just hate..... coffee.
First off I need a proper 16 oz bag. Recent Tariffs have had an effect on small batch roasters. what’s the right price for a lb of roasted whole beans?
My friends who got into home roasting sourced green beans from Sweet Maria’s online. There are great personal size roasters but also a good hack method using air popcorn poppers. But it can be messy with husks floating all over and the harsh smell could put off neighbors
lavazza still sucks but my friends do only have a standard issue coffee grinder which was good enough for me making mediocre coffee for 30 years but was certainly to blame for more than a little inconsistency. if i ice it and throw in an excess of half and half the bitterness is less apparent.

i thought this was perfectly acceptable but my standards have lowered. think they roast in nj. smallest amt is 2lbs. bunch of different beans.
