However, earlier this evening I was thinking of recanting my above comment because somehow or other I got into a big argument about whether chaps and assless pants are pretty much the same thing (my position) or radically different seeing as chaps are actually functional (my friend's position) (all based on pretty well zero first-hand knowledge of either... there was beer involved) when somebody chimed in that David Lee Roth wears assless pants and I thought about the upholstery at the restaurant and decided I'd been cavalier in my judgement. Was he wearing assed pants?
