After a brief episode of being a nomad, I came to the conclusion, without the aid of ancient texts, that beer might have sufficient draw to settle a nomad, while bread, even the finest loaf of Alvarado St.(tm) brand sprouted wheat, was insufficiently compelling.

I had it all wrong. I thought beer was invented to wash down "the Beernut". Alas it wern't till 610 ad, arrived the Pretzel . trailmix ?
