Sukho Thai: The whole fried fish was served with the head on, which is traditional in Asian cuisine. Usually whole fish is lying on its side on a platter. In this case, the fish was fried in a curved shape, and was presented in an upright position, as if it were still swimming. While I thought it was an awesome way to serve a fish, the vegetarian with whom I was dining had to look out the window while I ate it. After that meal, I avoided dishes with visible critter parts, e.g. the frog legs at Restaurant August.
