Jersey City empty sky

Mr. Schwartz said yesterday in a telephone interview that he planned the memorial to be "powerful"...

He said that "this space will be different from any other."

Strutting, territorial, phallocentric, cock-of-the-walk dickbrain project. A blot on the park. Oh, did I say multiply derivative?

now that the mayor died hopefully the "tears for fear" memorial will too.

No such luck for Mr. Schwartz's Star Wars Trash Compactor.

I don't really have the energy for a rant right now, but please know if I did I definitely would.. there is so much wrong with these projects - I very much dislike both of them - and both the men behind them (read 'hate', but I try not to use that word)

yeah one worse than the other. empty sky is multiply derivative and how. the title sounds like nyc on sept 11th and 12th. just the occasional fighter plane ripping around scaring the shit out of everyone. otherwise so quiet. schwartz was w/ THINK? pls take your time, recharge your batteries and spell it out for us.

I only have two cents: I think(?) we have already touched on the Georgian and Schwartz was with Think after one Herbert Muschamp *made* Schwartz's career by proclaiming that he had the master of all master visions for the masterplan for downtown. Schwartz's plan was a direct rip-off of a plan developed by Beyer Blinder Belle. No one seemed to notice and Schwartz has been "on his way" ever since. (Personally - I have met him a few times and he comes across as a very arrogant man with a big chip on his shoulder who can say ugly things). Good point about the title. And the dialogue in that link about tseretseli is over the top. re: schwartz's plan: just looking at it makes me feel an attack of claustrophobia coming on.
