tried coke 2 yet ?

I'm still waiting for them to bring back the original sucrose formula (aka uncut) CocaCola. Mexico used to be a source of it (in the old thick bottles), but they seem to be phasing over to high fructose corn syrup.

used to be one last coke plant in tx used the canesugar formula in 8 oz deposit bottles. they were said to be the best soft drink anywhere. maybe that was DP.

I just did a taste test. I had Hecho en Mexico Coke in a glass bottle at lunch, and followed up with an Hecho en Estados Unidos Coke in a can. The Mexican coke wasn't labelled, but I presume it used sucrose. The American Coke is fructose of the damned.

I can sum up the difference in two words: fructose aftertaste.

I prefer the taste of aspartame. bring on the Fresca!
