i got my eye on this lot. no bids yet. described as follows :

This photo album contains approximately 105 snapshot photos of the construction of a house, from start to finish. I’m not certain where the photos were taken; possibly in Indiana, Ohio or Pennsylvania. I could not find any names so I don’t know who the album originally belonged to. The first photo is dated 11/25/37 and it shows an empty lot with construction equipment. Most of the photos are dated and show the progression of the house construction, e.g. digging the basement, building the basement, framing the house, finishing the interior, etc. The final pictures show the completed house and the people moved in. The photos span two years. The house is quite nice. It was constructed right at the end of the Depression so the people must have had some money. All of the pictures are affixed to the album pages with black tabs and some have fallen out of the tabs and are loose in the album. All of the pictures measure approx. 3” x 4 ½” and most are in good condition. A representative sample is shown in the scans below. Album itself measures 8” x 12” and is in good condition. Cover is intact.

im sweating out this album auction. 4 hours left. but i wanted to point out the christmas tree finale in this set. it reminds me of this older set and it does help make the point that house building is often a love story.

These are great. And that's a nice observation.
Fingers crossed

and won with a $21.00 opening bid + $2.50 s and h. thanks for the luck steve. looking forward to seeing the rest of the images not published here. looks like a horizontal lot with a few portraits that ill tip on their sides (we call them leaners) to fit the god loving grid. well find out how 105 pictures divide into even rows later. i never know till they arrive as duplicates and other factors figure in to what makes the final cut. almost always everything makes the final cut.
