guess i took enough pills and drank enough water to not feel like shit this morning.
the coffee tastes.... fine.
i think we had 19 out of the first 20 questions right. this was the answer to the only one we got wrong. id be surprised if anyone got it. some 1985 movie about world war 2 that ive never heard of.
final set of questions were about science. our third appendage who hadnt answered any of the question should have had his moment to shine but failed to deliver one. everyone was pretty stumped and we had a decent lead we had been told so instead of colossal "disappointment" we stumbled over the line and collected our $50 reward which paid for one persons tab.
unfortunately they wanted to revel on so we found a bar with food and i was the only one to finish my next drink which was a macallan my friend had ordered but wasnt quite enough for a proper drink so with some well timed cajoling i got him to think it was his idea to give it to us for free. not exactly cajoling but something akin to it would be a shame to waste that might as well just give it to us.
should have stuck with the water as planned because the hourlong subway ride home was unpleasant though i did zone out for those last 20 minutes despite the encroaching aches.
having trouble recalling the questions without the answers at hand. some of the answers though were
delta
biaural
kava
vegus nerve
desi arnez
madeline albright
jim carrey
neil sedaka
lawrence of arabia
all quiet on the western front
public enemy
pulaski
irving berlin
oh no. we only had 18 out of the first 20. we guessed acl instead of mcl for which ligament was torn by the usa womens hockey captain. this is what happens when trumped up controversies are all that gets covered by the clickbait press.
those are the only ones i can recall offhand. 13 of 25. sad. i wrote ricky ricardo first before being reminded he was the character not the actor.
irving berlin was my best pull for being the siberian born writer of god bless america.
top 4 were 4 of the 5 from the last round we didnt get. mild hallucinaginic pacific island drink with a slight buzz? kava. any get that. my friend came up with khat. so we were in the ballpark.
god bless america, folks, there pharmaceuticals, and colombian coffee.
today i debate whether to do the laundry, its very far downstairs, and i await my new pillowcases, as two were chewed up by the very same machines beckoning now along with a bottom sheet in an earlier go round.
christoph waltz. group effort. friend came up with enough of the first name and i supplied the rest. academy award for inglorious basterds.
just fucking lower your prices.

dead kennedys and black sabbath were music cues which my friend go before me. id only get them when the vocals kicked in. he got them right away but he came up with the dogs of war before i suggested war pigs.
group effort. group effort. only the band name was required. he was trying to show off. he showed something. he said his first grader likes sabbath.

just realized i ground the new beans this morning and then forgot to put them in a filter so the coffee i made was day old twice brewed grounds. oops.
funny thing was i was worried that since i hadnt bought decaf to cut it with it would make me jittery but found it surprisingly mellow if i little undertasty which i attributed to not having the water beans ratio right.
