Frank & I got out the next morning for my first close look at some Montana country, in nearby Leverich Canyon, where we managed to see a few birds you donít see in New York.



It was real high country, replete with peaks and valleys and wildflowers, but itís awful hard to go someplace where you donít run into some evidence of human usage, like this old minerís cabin, which seemed to be of two minds about moving downhill.



Our next stop was similar in construction style, but rather more substantial.
