I spent some time browsing through the old Big Indian/Crowfield photos. Looking at adults, they're about the same from year to year. The kids? Holy cow. Time is zooming.

perhaps not so surprisingly, churches offer gluten free wafers for communion in portland. at least they do at the lutheran church i went to for a memorial service last week. i remained seated through the bread and wine portion of events, so i can't vouch for it's tastiness, but i suppose that's not the point.

Hey, Fisherman Jim, I heard about your fishing. I'll have you know you're not the only one.

shit. i have yet to meet my new downstairs neighbors but i already hate them. not only did the spend a bunch of money to make their kitchen look great but more disturbingly they are playing some bass heavy music in their living room which is below my bedroom. ive heard more music in the last hour than i have in the last 10 years. this will not end well. anybody know where i can sign up for a clog dancing class?

Grateful Dead 2 are DEAD......Furthur announced they are calling it quits this year.

Phil and Friends will go on at his club Terripan Station and maybe Bob will with Rat Dog at his club too....

While I still predict a 50th annoversario tour or shows of The Other Ones with the drummers in 2015, it does look like its winding down finally...

Quess I should try to make the show on Weds next week in Eugene.....

Grisly death at my regular bird watching park.
A guy flying a remote control model helicopter got the top of his head taken off by the rotor blades. I see these guys every week, and make a point of checking the field before they get there and scare off the birds (though I have seen falcons hunting in the same airspace with the helicopters.) And of course the NY Post can’t resist turning a tragedy into a joke; looks like they thought better of it online, but the print edition used the headline “Little Chopper Horror.”
