an OLIVE GARDEN smokes THE ODEON in the calamari department IMHO

Ok well I only tried them each once in 08 but my first ever experience at the OG was not NG, the pasta was simple and good, the minestrone fine, and the calamari TENDER......while a recent trip to TO the (overfried and rubbery) calamari was a total send back (we didnt) but the Pistou at TO rocked that day......

1) Chez Panisse.....have not been here for a decade and its as good as any meal, fresh, pure, etc

2) A16......like the best of Lupa, Otto, and Esca combined

Ball Grieco of Heath, Insieme (on my top 10 07) and now Terroir Wine Bar is serving 20 whites BTGlass, all 20 Riesling!!......one could say that Paul's got some Gaul but I say he's got SMARTS!!!

wackiest wd50 dish at lunch today- everything bagel ice cream, in the shape of a tiny toasted bagel, with ceam cheese chips and dried trout (?) and pickled ramps. wylie, you've gone over the edge - thanks for an awesome lunch!
